December Days

We did some more drum tracking this week and if all goes as planned, drums will be done and done by Tuesday evening. There's some editing to do, but even that is getting done. Tonight I found myself coming home after my second 13 hour work day this week to a slamming dinner, an excellent episode of The Office and drum comping on our six minute epic Bring Your Green Hat. It's pretty sexy. Once Tuesday comes to a close all of our drum recording and comping should be completed, which leaves bass and vocals and then some mystical magical Justin Gerrish. September turns to October to December to January, but we're getting this thing done. Also, it's officially an album, so it's worth the wait. Dallas Cowboys.

Bob Really Phones It In

So as you can clearly see, we've got some seriously succulent sexpot pictures coming your way, courtesy of our dear friend Lindsay Blackmon. As they come to us, we'll get them to you.
On another note, the EP looks like it may be turning into an LP, so we're pushing it. It's gonna be beautiful. I'll be putting up snippets and teasers starting this week, so put a diaper on because you just may shit yourself.

Alright Already

So with every musical endeavor there are setbacks and time delays, but we finally got our shit together. We're rounding out our last week of drum tracking and finishing this damn EP with some vocals. It looks like October should find itself not only housing Halloween, but the release of our still untitled EP. But don't worry, with song titles like ours it won't be too hard to think something up. Until then, stay sexy.

Cool Things

So tomorrow, or today depending on if you classify this as extremely late in the evening or very early into the next morning, Jared and myself will be finishing up his guitar tracking. Happy Birthday baby.

On a different note, the lovely Sarah Studley of Tarrytown's Patch was kind enough to do a piece on me, giving True Apothecary a bit of a hey-how-ya-doin' to Westchester. You can check that out HERE.

This week will find Mike and myself doing some late night drum tracking and perhaps trying out a bassist. Don't act like you're not excited. Feliz Navidad.

Progress Part II

One more step towards our new EP. With Jared's guitars one recording session away from being done I'm getting goddamn excited. Next up is drums, (yeah we record things in whatever order we feel like), then vocals, then mixing, then you. After that we'll start playing this bad boy live. Once the drums are down you can expect a bit of a preview. Viva Las Vegas.

Progress

Today was a colorful collage of mid afternoon drinks, grilling and some very refined recordings. Jared's guitar tracking for song 4 of 5 was a success. With one more song and a few overdubs left, we're getting much closer to completion. We're thinking, (realistically), mid to late september.

PC Load Letter

So what started out as an evening of recording turned into debauchery with bubblegum vodka and bbq chicken, which was delicious. It seems that with every recording session comes some bit of technical difficulties and unfortunately today, (or rather the previous evening as it is currently very early into the next morning), those difficulties overcame us entirely. But as I mentioned before: bubblegum vodka. It can do wonders.
In the meantime we have enlisted the help of Stephen Brayda to construct a logo for True Apothecary. We've seen some of his ideas so far and we are stoked. It's gonna be a good one.

Getting It Together

So this is going to be the True Apothecary mainstay until we get an official website together. Expect some really sexy updates and semi nude pictures in the near future.

At the moment we're writing & recording our first EP as a band and goddamn it's turning out beautiful. It's going to be a long and arduous recording process, so you may not see the end result for a while, but keep your ear to the ground: it's coming.
